Trivandrum-the capital city of Kerala-centre of historical monuments of ancient rulers. Palode By travelling 52 Kms to north east of Trivandrum city along Trivandrum-Shemcotta road,you will reach PALODE . (Click here to see Route Map ) 'PALODE' is now widely getting renowned for it conducting 'PALODE MELA' -a festival from 7th to 13th February every year.The mela was first organised in 1963 by a veteran former -Shri Velamvetty Janardhan Pillai and his friends.It has now attained the status of a village national festival and celebrated by the villagers as an embodiment of Secularism,Nationalism and hardwork.
